Just started playing pickleball about 9 days ago, and I was hooked from the start! Im sure thats the case with many of the people who are looking at this paddle set now. Let me give you the impressions of someone whos been learning fast, and is already dedicating decent amount of time to the sport.
But now to the most important part: the paddles themselves. To this absolute beginner, with experience in various sports and their equipment, they seem a pretty good value all by themselves. The sweet spot seems at least adequate, and the grips feel good in my fairly large hands. Im certain that the grippy material, which allows greater spin and control, is much better on more expensive models. (Actually, its non-existent on these. Haha) Although I already feel like its time to move on to better, more expensive paddles, Im loathe to give these up just yet. Theyre really very good intro models. I bought them because I didnt want to spend too much money in case I didnt enjoy the game that much. But at the rate Im playing, Ill probably destroy these before long anyway.
